King's Cross Summer Sounds: A Celebration of Music
Welcome to King's Cross Summer Sounds
From August 15th to 26th, we're excited to transform Coal Drops Yard into a vibrant hub of music and dance, celebrating the diversity and spirit of our community.
This year, we emphasise community engagement more than ever. Our festival opens with Unicorn Frequency, whose electrifying jazz and classical blends set the tone for what's to come. In the run up to the festival we have developed our very own Community Choir for the PMLD community and a 6 week programme of Queer Tango London classes, enriching the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community through dance.
In partnership with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, we're proud to deliver a local schools music tour, culminating in a residency and special performance on our stage on Sunday, August 25th.
With evening concerts and Family Sundays, plus accessibility features like hearing loops and designated mobility areas, we ensure everyone can enjoy the festivities.
Thank you for joining us at King's Cross Summer Sounds, where we celebrate the harmony of community and the rhythm of diversity.
This festival is support by the Kings Cross Central Limited Partnership, Arts Council England, and the Arts Trust EDI Fund. Individual show have additional supports, please see their pages for details.
