I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a life-affirming and joyful adventure from start to finish.

Become part of King’s Cross Summer Sounds this year by joining our community choir and perform as a part of Fire Songs, a unique choral experience.

Fire Songs is a multi-sensory choral show created by Frozen Light for audiences with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD). It is a show which celebrates the value that everyone brings to the world and builds a connection between the audience and choir around a celestial campfire.

Fire Songs is performed by a choir of 24 singers covering 3 parts (Soprano, Alto, Baritone), and a cast of 4 Frozen Light performers. Singers do not need to commit to every performance day, and we will ensure everyone interested has the opportunity to perform. We’d encourage you to learn the music by heart to allow for greater connection with the audience. Frozen Light will provide scores, lyric sheets, and rehearsal tracks to help you learn the music.

Why Join Us?

  • Community Spirit: Immerse yourself in a community-driven initiative that emphasizes unity and shared experiences. Perfect for anyone looking to engage with their neighbours and contribute to the cultural tapestry of King’s Cross.

  • Flexibility and Inclusion: Whether you're a seasoned singer or a curious newcomer, all are welcome. With parts available for Soprano, Alto, and Baritone voices and no obligation to attend every performance, there’s a spot for everyone. Frozen Light is committed to ensuring every participant feels valued and has the chance to shine.

  • Artistic Growth: Challenge yourself artistically by learning the music by heart, enhancing your ability to connect with the audience deeply. We provide all necessary materials, including scores, lyric sheets, and rehearsal tracks.
