Within the present challenging economic client, and the new ideologies from David Cameron’s and Theresa May’s ‘innovative’ policies on border control, Trinity Laban is working to develop its understanding and make links with identified emerging markets; such as Brazil, China and India. As part of this strategy we have been working with partners Escola de Dança de São Paulo and the British Council’s TRANSFORM programme.
Brendan Keaney appointed Artistic Director & Chief Executive of DanceEast
Brendan Keaney, Director of Greenwich Dance, has been appointed Artistic Director and Chief Executive of DanceEast, Ipswich. He will take up the post in March 2013. Martyn Rose, Chair of DanceEast said:
‘I am delighted that Brendan Keaney is joining us to lead DanceEast as it moves into the next phase of its development. We are eternally grateful to our previous Artistic Director & Chief Executive, Assis Carreiro, for creating a thriving and dynamic organisation and especially for having the vision and tenacity to give Ipswich one of the best Dance Houses in the world. Brendan has the experience, understanding and ability to build on this legacy and create an exciting new future for DanceEast.’
