We are currently working on a new Family Show Research and Development. The aim of this research time is to create an understanding of what can be physically achieved performing on a stage made of air [the bouncy castle]. It will be used to explore the dialogue between movement, music, design and concept, with production meetings with set and costume designers in conversation with performers and the dramaturgic elements. We will be able to explore the possibilities to exaggerate or enhance movement and design that is usually akin to a stable surface and to see how the limitations of this unstable surface can bring about new ways of not only developing movement and the story but also exploring character, meaning and a sense of real drama from the surface. In addition to this we are very keen to address and challenge the audience experience, win the process. The company's work today has always wanted to engage audiences in a new way of thinking an approaching the arts form with its cross-art exposure.
