Artstrust Productions: Audition for Library Operas R&D
Artstrust Productions are developing a new programme designed to nurture new opera talent, providing a platform for performance, and taking quality opera to new audiences.
Via a programme of workshops, individual coaching and master classes we aim to work with musicians and aspiring graduate opera singers who have excellent vocal training; bring together graduates for their first professional opportunity.
The long term aim for the programme is to work with a group each year who will be taken through a collaborative process of reducing a classical opera down to 45mins, which will then be toured to public libraries and regional theatres across the UK.
We are currently looking for 5 opera graduates to work with us to test out the ideas and help shape the programme. In the time with us you will need to learn aries from Eugene Onegin (in the original Russian) of which we will provide you with free master classes (Nov - Jan, c.8 session in this period), This will be followed by 1 week in January (Paid) where we will be reducing and developing a framework for a reduced version of Onegin; this will then be tested in a Library in Greenwich the following week.
